Great work, Chris! Your tenons are MUCH prettier than mine. I think most of that is not only your use of the router plane, but that it’s a very hard wood to boot. I’m starting the assembly of mine tonight. I’ll actually have a functional bench by the weekend! You, being a kindred builder, can relate, I’m sure!
Thanks Vic. The router plane does help and although the hard maple is…well hard, it does make for a very smooth finish.
That is exciting you will be getting the bench together. I am looking forward to getting to that point but will be out of town a few weekends this month so I have a ways to go yet.
I really look forward to seeing all of the great benches that are in the works right now completed.
